"Both Terrazzo and Paint Alchemy are essential tools for my digital images. Terrazzo allows me an infinite kaleidoscope of experimentation for patterns. It allows me to manipulate patterns in real time for quick results. Lately I've been having fun using patterns on multiple layers in Photoshop and altering the properties of each layer to get some interesting results.
Paint Alchemy is likewise an endless source of discovery. Often I can picture a look in my mind but can't get that look with traditional paints. I'm simply not that skilled with an actual brush. But Paint Alchemy allows me to circumvent my lack of traditional painting technique while innovating in the new digital medium. For someone like me it levels the playing field a bit. And while there is nothing like actual oil paint on a canvas, there's nothing like Paint Alchemy either." |
